LXMP is a duo that probably should be a trio or a quartet but it’s more fun with just two people. Founded in 2009 by Piotr Zabrodzki and Macio Moretti out of their shared love for Korg MS-20, LXMP quickly replaced their previous duo 60 Minut Projekt and became a […]

Naked Wolf is something of an infernal orchestra. All About Jazz describes their music as “wild, hypnotic rock energy and clever improvisations with rapid changes in mood and pulse, poetic rap lyrics and danceable tight grooves”.
“No heart is safe That’s the risk you take Be courageous and crazed You played it safe, I was not afraid to lose.” In life, art, performance, and in love – when we put ourselves out on display, we are vulnerable to scrutiny. Some of us face judgment and rejection […]
Krakow Jazz Autumn’s anniversary wouldn’t be complete without Peter Brötzmann. Where would free jazz and improvised music be today without “the loudest saxophonist in the world”? It’s hard to imagine the last few decades without the rebellious German artist’s theatrical blend of lyricism and ferocity. And although he never broke with melody, he became a symbol of rebellious avantgarde
This year’s Krakow Jazz Autumn will also host big, elaborate ensembles – Paal Nilssen-Love Large Unit is one example (4 November).
