LATO NA DACHU – MUZYKANCI / SHTETL KRAKOW

Muzykanci is one of the most interesting group at the Polish folk music scene. Group appreciated by critics and audiences. The winners of many prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix competition of the Polish Radio New Tradition Festival, Grand Prix Euro Folk Festival.

Their debut album Muzykanci was awarded the Folk Phonogram of the Year, and – in 2012 – in a plebiscite organized by the Polish Radio has been chosen the best folk album of all nominees and award-winning publications in fourteen-year history of the competition on the Polish Radio Folk Phonogram of the Year.
Muzykanci toured the Polish and European scenes (such as Germany, Scotland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Belarus and others).

Group reportore is inspired of traditional songs from almost all corners of the Polish as well by the music of the Lemko, Hungarian, Balkan, Gypsy and Jewish. Following albums the band there are (inter alia): “A na onej gorze… / At the mountain” – consisting primarily of Polish folk ballads, the album “Gore gwiazda / The Star is Burning” and “Muzykanci & Hradistan” recorded in the Czech Republic studio and live album with the participation of the Moravian group of Jiri Pavlica. Muzykanci have had numerous recordings for Polish Radio, Polish TV and other European broadcasters.
In 2012 Muzykanci concerts at renowned festivals ethno and world music: Polish Radio New Tradition (Warsaw), Crossroads Festival (Krakow), Brave Festival (Wroclaw), Ethnoport (Poznan).
