Sean Wheeler came from Palm Springs, lured to Hollywood by the spirit of punk rock. He was Captain of his longest tenured band, Throw Rag who toured throughout the US, Canada and Europe alongside bands such as The Damned, Queens Of The Stone Age, Stiff Little Fingers, Flogging Molly, The Circle Jerks and Gogol Bordello. When Throw Rag went on hiatus, Sean teamed up with Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens Of The Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Failure) for a project called Sun Trash. The record featured guests, Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss), Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal), Joey Castillo (Queens Of The Stone Age, Sugartooth, Danzig), Chris Goss (Masters Of Reality), Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees), Gene Trautmann (Queens Of The Stone Age, Eagles Of Death Metal) and Eddie Nappi (Sweethead, Enemy). It finally saw release some nine years later. In the years since, Sean released a couple records with the band Charley Horse, featuring Scott “Chopper” Franklin (The Mau Maus, The Joneses, The Cramps), Corey Parks (Nashville Pussy), Rick Ballard (Acetate Records) and Dino Fury. He also produced an as of yet unreleased solo album with Mark Lanegan, Carlos Guitarlos (Top Jimmy & The Rhythm Pigs), Jennifer Herrema (Royal Trux) and others.
Sean loves The Clippers, art, and his sons. When he’s not touring he calls Palm Springs home.
Zander Schloss was playing in funk bands when when he found himself falling in with filmmaker Alex Cox, who cast Zander as Kevin in the seminal punk film Repo Man. Alex Cox brought him back for his next film, Straight To Hell, where Zander’s passion for various string instruments brought him to the attention of Joe Strummer (The Clash). Zander would work alongside Joe on the score to the film Walker and Joe’s solo album, Earthquake Weather. Zander met legendary Southern California punk band The Circle Jerks on the set of Repo Man. He would later become their bass player. Several albums and tours followed. His association with them led to Zander getting called for bass duties when first wave Los Angeles punk band The Weirdos reunited in the late 80s. He continues in that position when the band reconvenes every few years.
Zander’s friendships in Hollywood brought him to one of L.A’s most unsung band, Thelonious Monster where his guitar playing was given a chance to shine. He would later form The Low And Sweet Orchestra with fellow Thelonious Monster guitar alumni, Mike Martt (Tex And The Horseheads). He continues to play with the band on occasion and on it’s front man Bob Forrest’s solo projects.
Zander loves cats, coffee, and his girlfriend. When he’s not touring he calls Los Angeles home.
Sean And Zander came together as a unit in 2007. They had previously toured together in their respective bands, Throw Rag and The Circle Jerks. They were putting together a band for a one-off live performance when they realized, with Zander’s deft abilities with a 12 string guitar, they didn’t really need additional musicians. They began sending songs back and forth to each other, crafting their unique soulful vision of Folk, Americana, Pop, Bluegrass and Gospel. After releasing a split album with Pascal Briggs in
Europe, Sean And Zander teamed up with producer Gus Seyffert (Beck, The Black Keys,
Willoughby, Spain) for their first full length album, 2011’s Walk Thee Invisible.
In 2013 the pair, also known as the Legendary Duo, released a pair of 7in singles with Muddy Roots Records, Punk Rock Saved My Life and Sinner Man (With Exene Cervenka of X).
In 2014 Sean & Zander reunited with Gus Seyffert for their latest full length, Other Desert
Cities. This complex emotional record represented a clear evolution from their first album.
The legend of Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss continues as the duo regularly tours
throughout the U.S. and internationally. The charm and arch comedy of their live shows capture the imagination of crowds while they perform along side the likes of X, Mark Lanegan and Flogging Molly. Sean and Zander’s passion and heart comes across in performance and is well received by audiences of all ages.
May the road go ever onward….

FREEBORN BROTHERS
Live music performance connected with crazy theatre and weird circus, those things are dragging everybody into it, if you think thats it… NO! add insane gypsy dancing, endless energy and fun than you will get just a draft of FBB live show. Every show is different from the other, never doing the same routine, you can see them houndreds of times and you not gonna be bored.
Freeborn Brothers are Niko, Matt and new member in a band Chris. Love to music and need to be on stage and entertain people put them together to hit the road and create this amazing orchestra! Everytime when you wonder how to describe the band or what label put on it and you don’t know how to do it cause variety of music is so wide and different that means you’ve got something unique and special. This is what we got when we’re listening to FBB. This dangerous mixture is stealing people souls every place they visit.
They are constantly touring Europe, they played around 200 shows in 2014. Muddy Roots Europe Festival, Country Charro Festival or Van Thom Weekender and Tattoo Konwent Katowice are few of all shows they played in more then 14 countries. They are not slowing down, for 2015 touring plans are more ambitious – they are heading to Brazil and USA and also of course Europe!
They got 2 full albums, first one Two Man Orchestra recorded in October 2013. It’s raw, it’s dirty and it two man orchestra sound. Contains highly energetic song ‚Rolling and Rolling’, ‚Poor Widow’ known as ‚Black Burrito Song’ or spooky waltz ‚the Night I Die’ which during their shows turns to crowd baptism. Second album is called ‚Gypsy Hobo Trash Grass’ and this one shows the way FBB wanna go. More melodies, songs made with heart and soul. Songs like ‚I See It In Your Eyes’, ‚Down to Hell’ or ‚Road Ends on Forever’ are perfect example that is good musical path. Both album are close to roots and folk but it’s hard to put them to one bag with those generes… FBB building up their own sound which you could recognize everywhere.
