Renowned photographer Jamie Fyson Howard ‚ solo exhibition in Alchemia gallery takes an intimate look at everyday life in contemporary Poland. The title of the exhibition is a play on words from the title of the 19th century novel by Wladyslaw Reymont, “Promised Land,” filmed by Andrzej Wajda in 1978. In a country often dissatisfied with itself and with its eyes on a better future, Fyson Howard’s photos show us that the present can be much richer than we realize.
