We’re a bunch of people that started out years ago with three people trying to play Balkan and Ska. As we went along people tried to hire us for weddings and other parties. Since we had only played three songs crappily before we had to learn to play some hours of music for the parties. We found some chords and lyrics for jazz standards in a book. Drank some beer and started playing parties for money.
As time went by we met more and more people to play with.
Gradually we fell in and out of love with jazz standards and started playing more cool jazz, crappy monsterhit covers (thank god we lost our accordion!) and explored some folksy Klezmer/Balkan/Oompa/Blues music.
And today here you have us, twelwe noisy musicians and a mixer/busdriver/ banjo devil.
Having lyrical and musical backgrounds ranging from grindcore and grafitti underground, to indie, electronic and formal high level music, dance, poetry and gender studies.
We fell in love with the world. So there was only one thing we could do!
Put Simone, Devo and Brubeck alongside Culture Beat and Britney Spears. Creating danceable chaos to make love, break up, make up, lie, praise and depart from sanity, soberness and boredom with.
