The band’s members are experienced musicians who are not afraid of new music situations, exploding from the creative energy, consistently following their own artistic paths.
VJ Marki Mark is responsible for visualizations, he can, like no other, look into the hearts of the audience and ‘lights it out’, enriching with his own interpretation.
Cuefx Band comes from Silesia, you can feel it in their music, so this event is a real feast for those who are curious what’s going on in that part of the country and those who are ready to take a dose of good power.
Jacek Latoń aka Cuefx
Producer, arranger, composer and DJ associated with Silesian club scene for many years. During his 12-year residentship in Hipnoza Jazz Club (one of the most influential jazz clubs in Poland) he made himself known as a support of such artists as Amon Tobin, Cinematic Orchestra, DJ Vadim, DJ Krush, Bonobo. He performed in three editions of Tauron Nowa Muzyka Festival. He is associated with several diverse projects, most recently with Cuefx Band.
Cuefx work managed to catch the attention of Mary Anne Hobbs herself, so much so, that she played one of his compositions in her BBC 1 show. Radio stations in Poland have also lent their airwaves to his music, Radio Roxy being one of them. Cuefx is the author of 3 studio albums and a partner in countless musical projects. He has been featured on many alternative music compilations, including ‘Sealesia’, which showcased the artistic achievements of the most intriguing Silesian musicians.
Agnieszka Twardoch
Student of the faculty of jazz at the Music Academy in Katowice. She has been singing since she was 7 years old. Agnieszka follows intuition, rejecting identification with concrete, unequivocal music inspiration. In Cuefx Band she is responsible for vocals, melodic lines and lyrics.
Robert Zając
Guitarist, composer, arranger. He is a part of several projects like: Natanael, Holy Noiz, Stealpot, A&D transatlantic, Scoffee, Penny Lane, Mietal Waluś Magazine.
He cooperates with Negatyw, Muniek Staszczyk, Andrzej Lampert, Brian Fentres (UK), Karo Glazer, Paul Watson (UK), Natsq.
Aleksander Papierz
Saxophonist, actively working on Polish jazz and experimental scene. Currently, co-creator of the bands: Pulsarus (albums ‘FAQ, ‘Squared Rotoscope’), Nucleon (albums ‘Commandor Koenig To Alpha Base; Eagle Is Ready For Take Off!’, ‘Fitoplankton’), Pasimito, Max Klezmer Band, Sigihl and Cuefx Band.
Papierz performed at many festivals such as: Warsaw Summer Jazz Days, Avant Festival, Re:wizje, Burn Selector Festival, Colours of Ostrava, Art Depot, Slot Art Festival, Transvisualia, Kino na Granicy, Malta Festival, in Berlin for Center of Polish Culture, T-Mobile New Horizons, in Recklinghausen and Tel Aviv.
He supported The Cinematic Orchestra; cooperated with musicians from Poland and abroad such as: Mikołaj Trzaska, Wojciech Waglewski, Adam Pierończyk, Michał Dymny, Tomek Chołoniewski, Tomasz Dąbrowski, Jan Gałach, Ray Dickaty (UK), Blossom, Vasco Trilla (Spain), Gendos Gennady Chamzyryn (Republic of Tuva), Harold Rubin (RSA/ Israel). He cooperates with Bretoncaffe Theatre and The Old Theatre in Cracow.
